I grew up in small towns. You could see the
stars.
When a commercial office was built next to my property and planted a halogen
lamp that makes our bedroom drapes glow at night, along with security cameras,
other lights and windows overlooking my porch, and a trashy
privacy fence surrounded me, life took a downturn.
I came across a couple October Glory Maples
and a light went on about
turning the light off, and it went from there.
Since then, these trees have become a real
treat. Seeing them come to life in the spring,
every day a new surprise. The little creatures that come to them. The growth
spurts when not expected.
Just amazing.
But the original objective still remains.
Block out that atrocity next door.
This page is as much for me as anybody, as a comparison over time of the
effectiveness of my strategies. The photos will be more so of the objectives,
not
of the beauty or size of the trees.
