How to Meditate

My mother passed away recently. My father is having such a hard time with the situation, I thought maybe I could help if I could convince him to try a little meditation. Well... my favorite "how to" book from years ago is probably in the garage in a box somewhere, so I thought the net would be the place to turn to for articles to help him learn.

What I found was that most of the meditation sites were "pay me" sites, (you know, spiritual economic enlightenment type sites, or egotistical-cult type sites). The search was frustrating. Whatever happened to "Lemme give ya a hand" type attitudes, especially from them so called spiritually enlightened gurus!

Thank the big guy, there are sites for the simple "how to" seekers. And some of 'em don't expect you to kiss some weird God's feet, or go through 2300 steps of rituals to sit back and close your eyes.

The purpose of this page is to give you a number of "how to" sites to visit. I hope to make your search maybe a little easier than mine was. Also there is my own "how to", but I'm really not an expert, just a crazy sucker.
